Drusilla's Bracelet of Submission Tutorial
Created by: Amy Scalise
Cut eight 7.5" pieces of square wire. Use more wire for a larger wrist.
Cut four 3-4" pieces of the half-round wire, and use the banding pliers to make the double right angle bend in the pieces of wire. Depending on your wrist size, you may want two additional wire bands.
This double right angle bend is needed to make the first binding wrap very tight and secure when banding together multiple pieces of wire.
To prevent marring the wire, use nylon tools, or wrap pliers with electircal tape or dip in Tool Magic™ (#69-160).
Decide bead placement, so the beads will be centered on your wrist, and mark locations for banding wire.
Band together the square wire pieces with one banding wire and add the crystals to the center wire.
Add the second banding wire to secure the center section. Wrap the remaining banding wires near the ends of each side.
Bend outer wires to create design, on the wires on each of the crystals.
Make wrapped loops on the two outside pieces of wire at the ends of each side. These outside loops should be large enough to accommodate the clasp. Cut the inside wires, so they are flush with the banding wire.
Use square wire to create and decorative hook-and-eye clasp.
