This beginner project requires only a few basic jewelry-making tools and can be completed in less than 20 minutes.
Gently (but firmly) squeeze the prongs of the bail into the crystal. Nylon-jaw flat-nose pliers can can be a great help! (To avoid scratching the crystal, you may need to open the bail's jaws further before pressing the prongs into the crystal.)
Place stone in bezel and use a burnishing tool to smooth the prongs gently but firmly down over the stone.
Attach open loop of bezel to top of bail. Use jump rings to connect remaining components. See Jump Ring Hint in Jewelry Basics 101 (PDF)
Once the pendant is assembled, it can be placed on suede lace, silk ribbon or leather as an alternate to chain.
Change the color of the Swarovski cushion stone and Crystalactite pendant for a more subdued look, or more striking contrast. Suggested Supplies
