Create simple glass image pendants using Piddix collage sheet images, glass tiles, Aanraku glue-on bails and ball chain. Created by: Mollie Valente
Select an image and use a 7/8" paper punch to cut out the image. Cut an additional circle of the same size from decorative paper. If you don't have an appropriately-sized craft punch, use a circle template and scissors.
Design Option: Use your own copy-right free images or choose from our selection of Piddix collage sheets and other shapes of glass tiles.
Use a paper towel and ispropyl alcohol to clean the glass tile. This will remove contaminates and ensure that the adhesive will hold.
With a small paint brush, apply an even layer of adhesive to the image side of the paper cutout. Center the glass tile over the adhesive-coated image and apply pressure to remove air bubbles.
Place the glass piece face-down on and set aside in a warm place to dry. The image will be temporarily cloudy, but adhesive will turn clear once dry.
Apply adhesive to the back of the image-adorned glass tile and adhere the decorative paper circle. Make sure the decorative elements coincide with the image on the front of the pendant.
Apply a thin layer of "The Ultimate" adhesive to the backside of the pendant. Once cured, this layer will seal and protect the pendant.
Apply a generous coating of adhesive to the gluable surface of the bail. Position the bail on the backside of the glass tile and press it in place. Check to make sure the bail placement and the image direction line up.
Set the pendant aside in a warm area to cure for 24 hours.
Finish the pendant with a ball chain necklace and it is ready to wear.
