A-grade to B-grade turquoise beads are made from commercial-quality turquoise that is usually stabilized or enhanced to harden the gemstone. The stabilization process deepens the natural color (just as a wet sponge is darker than a dry one).
Our A- to B-grade semiprecious turquoise beads are produced from rough turquoise mined in China, Mexico, or the United States (specifically northern Nevada the Kingman area of Arizona). They are well-made beads, uniform in shape and size at a median price. This makes them a good, less-expensive substitute for natural Sleeping Beauty turquoise or other high-grade stones. Be aware that the color might slightly darken with wear as the stone absorbs body oils.
